In the September monthly practice newsletter, our focus is on the largest organ in the body…skin! You’ll find Facebook posts, tweets and copy for your practice website or newsletter that target preventive healthcare and all things dermatology. Take them “word for word” and use them to educate your clients about the importance of a yearly checkup for their pets.

Campaign in Action: Not All Reminder Programs are Created Equal

A review of the databases from approximately 5,000 companion animal veterinary practices in the U.S. shows a steady increase in the number of inactive clients over the past three years or more. In 2012, 46% of dogs and 51% of cats in these practices had not had a visit of any kind in at least 18 months. By the first quarter of 2015, those numbers had increased to 53% of dogs and 59% of cats in those surveyed practices.

To address this, PHP is providing veterinary practices with an opportunity to participate in a program that offers proven success in bringing clients back whose pets have not been in for over 14 months.

Check out our program, now utilized by over a thousand practices, which can drive inactive clients back into your practice. You’ll provide a large number of your MIA patients the preventive healthcare they need and deserve!

Karlene Belyea

Michigan Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA) CEO Karlene Belyea knows when she’s stumbled upon something good. “I love how you can go to the Partners for Healthy Pets (PHP) website and get practice tools for marketing and communications. The ‘Words That Work’ videos and scripts are helpful, as well as the ‘Feline Friendly Practice’ materials.”

As CEO for the past 12 years, Ms. Belyea’s number one priority for Michigan has been helping veterinary practices succeed. She says, “We knew veterinarians were having a hard time getting pet owners into practices on a regular basis. The economic downturn hit Michigan hard. Veterinarians have been looking for assistance and PHP has extensive resources to help them.”
