Our Advertising Campaign to Pet Owners

We’re talking to your clients about the importance of yearly checkups and encouraging them to come see you!

Partners for Healthy Pets launched a national consumer ad campaign to bring more clients to your practice for yearly checkups and preventive care. The campaign includes TV, print, digital and public relations – all designed to communicate the value of yearly checkups.

Advertising Campaign

Let us help YOU see more pets!

Here is your June monthly practice newsletter filled with ready-to-use Facebook posts, tweets and copy for your practice website. You can take them “word for word” and use them to motivate your clients to schedule their pet’s yearly checkup with you. It’s that time of year for summer barbeques—so let’s talk about nutrition!

Pet Nutrition

Many clients are overwhelmed and confused when they are choosing an appropriate food to feed their pet. They may get opinions from breeders, the internet, TV and superstore employees. But research repeatedly shows that clients value your opinion most. Your specific dietary recommendation holds the most weight when clients decide what food they should feed their pet.

Your clients want to do what’s right when it comes to preventive healthcare. And nutrition is no exception. Does the food they feed meet all of their pet’s nutritional needs? It’s time to check in with your clients and find out.

Contact all of your clients (especially those “inactive” clients you haven’t seen in 12-18 months) to schedule their pet’s annual checkup today. You are the only one who can perform a nutritional evaluation and discuss preventive healthcare from a place of medical expertise.

Use the “Word For Word” section below to encourage your clients to make an appointment for their pet’s yearly checkup and keep connected with them on a regular basis.

Word for Word

The Campaign in Action

What people are saying about the campaign

We’re getting in on all the action with buzz-worthy, pet-focused bloggers! Partners for Healthy Pets spokesperson, Dr. Karen Fling, was a featured speaker during an exciting “Myth Busting” breakout session at the annual BlogPaws pet blogger conference in Lake Las Vegas, NV.

Hundreds of bloggers attended the conference, and these passionate pet owners connected with Dr. Fling to learn why yearly checkups are as essential as food and love. Members of the BlogPaws community have expressed the desire to share the importance of preventive care with their readers, so watch for links to their posts in future newsletters!

Dr. Fling was also featured on the CBS Dallas News to continue her “myth-busting,” and Dr. Tracy Hlede, another Partners for Healthy Pets spokesperson, was featured on “You & Me This Morning,” a daily show in Chicago, helping clear the air over some common pet owner misconceptions.

“The online tools were very specific, practical, and helpful, not general and abstract. The tools didn’t just tell us what to do, they told us how to do it, step-by-step,” says Dr. Elizabeth Alton, owner of Green Mountain Animal Hospital in Burlington, Vermont. “The staff training experience strengthened and unified our practice’s commitment to making disease prevention a priority,” she adds.
