Our Advertising Campaign to Pet Owners

We’re talking to your clients about the importance of yearly checkups and encouraging them to come see you!

Partners for Healthy Pets launched a national consumer ad campaign to bring more clients to your practice for yearly checkups and preventive care. The campaign includes TV, print, digital and public relations – all designed to communicate the value of yearly checkups.

Let us help YOU see more pets!

It’s your December monthly practice newsletter! Here you’ll find ready-to-use Facebook posts, tweets and copy for your practice website. You can take them “word for word” and use them to educate your clients about the importance of yearly checkups for their pets. This month, the spotlight is on nutrition and obesity!

Gaining weight over the holidays is not just a problem for humans, but also for your patients. Research clearly shows pets are most likely to become obese over this holiday season compared to the rest of the year.

Why? Many clients consider their pets as members of their families, and usually that means direct access to table food! As owners feast on cookies, turkey, breads and other seasonal delights, they’re also likely feeding them to their pets. Some owners may even serve their pets the same size portion as their own—that’s a lot of calories! And this is all in addition to their regularly fed pet food!

Pet Nutrition

Many owners may not realize that their roly-poly, “well loved” pets are at risk for serious medical diseases, including a decreased life span. So before your patients start begging for a bite of holiday dinner, check in with all of your clients (especially those inactive clients you haven’t seen in 12-18 months) to promote the critical importance of a yearly checkup. You are the only one who can perform a comprehensive exam that includes an assessment of body condition/weight, nutrition and preventive care.

Use the “Word For Word” section below to motivate your clients to make an appointment for their pet’s yearly checkup.

Word for Word

Here are December’s Facebook posts, tweets and copy for your practice website that you can use “word for word”. What does your practice need–Facebook posts or tweets? A paragraph or two for your website? Take them! They’re designed to encourage your clients to schedule their pet’s yearly checkup with you.
